Where I get my Inspirations

Have you every wonder where artist get their inspirations?  For me they come from my surroundings. I take a lot of photos. When my inspirations come from my surroundings, I have an connection to what I am painting.  I put a little of myself in each piece that I paint.

Here is my photo for the Humming bird art above. As you can see i took a little artist liberty and her a he. Not that I don't like the female humming bird but the male has the red coloring..

I took this photograph of a humming bird landing on a shepherd hook in my yard. As you can see the photo is not that great. So I decided to paint him.
